Prayer on the Plains

Prayer on the Plains

As we enter into a holy time as a church of prayer and discernment, you are invited to join in the prayer movement. We pray that we may listen to God’s voice and pray for the church. Prayer is a way of opening ourselves up to God’s voice and to the heart of God and one another. So with this in mind, will you join in prayer?

Be in prayer this week for these Town Hall meetings:

  • August 25 – Missouri River District in Omaha.
  • August 25 – Blue River District in Lincoln.
  • August 26 – Kansas City District in Olathe.

This week you are invited to join Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr., the Council of Bishops, and United Methodists around the world to pray Psalm 23 and the Lord’s Prayer. You are invited to join in prayer each day at 2:23 p.m.

Watch in future weeks for prayer resources via the conference’s website, as well as a weekly prayer prompt for more ways to join in prayer together.

346 people attended the town hall meeting at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Omaha on Saturday.
